Which travel destination has impressed you the most and why? I travelled to Thailand, and I fell in love with the culture, the scenery, the people – I loved all of it. It has to be one of the most beautiful places on earth.
Which travel destination do you dream of and why? I have been dreaming of heading to Greece to take in the beautiful ocean views and culture for so many years. So in 2019 when I was diagnosed with stage four Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and after being confined to hospital rooms and blood clinics for a year, I realized that I need to go see the world and stop waiting around. So when I was officially given word that I was in remission I just knew that I had to get back into the travel industry. There is so much more of this world to see now that I have my life back!
Which Olympic discipline appeals to you the most and why. For the summer games I absolutely love watching swimming. Don’t ask me why, I can barely swim a lap in the pool myself! I just find it so fun to watch – very suspenseful. As for the winter games, hockey! Hockey will always have a special place in my heart because I played it for so many years of my life. Plus, I love seeing Canada win!
What do you prefer most in events and why? There is something to be said about being at a live event. The sense of community and excitement is what I love the most about it. If I can use my skill set to make an experience or event so incredible that everyone in attendance can forget about their worries for a couple of hours then I’ve felt as though I’ve done my job! There is no more rewarding feeling than that.
