With a DEC in sound engineering and a strong interest in travel, Matthew began his career for Club Med, as well as Royal Caribbean. The cultural diversity, the warm welcome of people and countless landscapes from all around the world will remain forever engraved in his mind. After more than 10 years of traveling the globe, Matthew became a travel manager for Flight Center. He joined the ATPI team in 2018.
Since then, he has been contributing to the travel logistics for organizations and sporting events that trust ATPI. He also works on the marketing of the Olympic Games in Canada.
A lifelong field hockey enthusiast, Matthew has played a lot, but is now involved in the family business AJM Hockey where he coaches and coordinates the organization’s activities.
Which travel destination has impressed you the most and why? This is a tough question. I’ve been to over 50 countries so I don’t have one favourite. I can narrow it down to 5, maybe, Bahamas, Indonesia, New Zealand, Japan and Switzerland. All for the same reasons – the people, the culture and the views.
Which travel destination do you dream of and why? South America is the next on my bucket list. Haven’t set foot there yet!
Which Olympic discipline appeals to you the most and why? My favourite sports would be Hockey, Soccer, Baseball and Athletics.
What do you prefer most in events and why? This diversity is a big reason why I love it. Always something different and exciting in each event.
