ATPI Canada has made a commitment to providing new information as soon as it becomes available. And, though we are waiting for confirmation and additional information from the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee, we do have some answers for you.
What needs to be done in order to return my tickets for a refund?
Unless ATPI Canada receives a confirmation from you before Friday April 9th, 2021 (5:00 pm, Eastern time) that you wish to keep your ticket order, all your tickets shall be automatically returned to the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee for a refund.

May I keep my ticket(s)?
The Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee recently announced its decision to bar international spectator attendance. If you are still planning to attend the Tokyo 2020 Games, you may keep your Event Tickets to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. To do so, you MUST email your confirmation to ticketing.ca@atpi.com before April 9, 2021. Unfortunately, the tight and short deadline is being dictated by Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee
We will need the following information from you via email:
Tickets will be converted to PDF and sent to the email used for purchase when they are sent by the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee. If you decide to KEEP your tickets purchased from ATPI Canada, you will not be able to return any of your tickets thereafter. Note that ATPI Canada cannot be responsible if Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympics Games refuses your access to the Games.
Any tickets kept and not returned by April 9th, 2021 will NOT be refunded, under any circumstances.
Will I be refunded the total amount of my purchased tickets?
Yes, 100%! Ticket refunds will be processed for the face value of the ticket, as well as any shipping and handling fees paid.
When will I obtain my refund?
As soon as we can! Once ATPI Canada receives funds back from the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee, your refund will be processed. The exchange rate will be subject to the rates at the time of refund. Note that the JPY (¥) has depreciated since 2019. We are expecting refunds to be made by the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee from June 2021 onwards (the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee has not confirmed a precise date yet).
How will I be refunded?
The same method you used for payment will be also used for refunds. We will contact you if the credit card used is now expired or invalid.

Can I get a refund on a package?
Yes, absolutely! ATPI Canada will be able to process refunds for all tickets purchased once funds are received back from the Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee . The exchange rate will be subject to the rates at the time of refund. Note that the JPY (¥) has depreciated since 2019.
For other “non-ticket” components of any packages purchased, we are actively working with airlines, hotels and other Japanese suppliers to obtain refunds.
However, please note that we do not expect this to be a quick process and unfortunately, it will take some time for confirmation to be forthcoming.
